Edit Bill Jefferson Lost House Seat, N.Y. Times Frets About Surge of White Voters

Joseph Cao wins Rep Jefferson seat!! Taking back Louisiana from the failed policies of the Democratic Party!!! Louisiana was the most obvious examples of what those failed policies produced.

Anh "Joseph" Cao, a 41-year-old Republican, will be the first Vietnamese-American in Congress. Obviously, this happened with next to zero national media attention, just as Rep. Jefferson was re-elected in 2006 after the freezer revelations without much national media attention. Will they report this ethnic first now?

Reporter Adam Nossiter in the New York Times suggested that the system failed, that a black-majority district failed to work as it was designed. Nossiter found that the problem was a surge of white voters angered by corruption charges

Louisiana voters oust indicted Rep. Jefferson-Hold on to 2 Congressional seats.

In the 2nd Congressional District, which includes most of New Orleans, Republican attorney Anh "Joseph" Cao won 50 percent of the vote to Jefferson's 47 percent and will become the first Vietnamese-American in Congress. His only previous political experience was an unsuccessful 2007 bid for a seat in the state legislature.

In the 4th Congressional District in western Louisiana, Republican John Fleming squeaked past Democrat Paul Carmouche in the race to replace retiring 10-term Rep. Jim McCrery, R-La. Only a few hundred votes separated the two.

"The U.S. Congress needs a decent and dedicated person to be responsive and take action for Louisiana and New Orleans."
